Greenwood Energy, the North American renewable energy division of the Libra Group, and Biosar America Inc., a subsidiary of Greek construction group Aktor, have appointed Kristina Peterson CEO of their joint venture, Greenwood Biosar.
In this role, Peterson will be responsible for continuing to build Greenwood Biosar's customer base, originating new solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the joint venture, and managing the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the company. Greenwood Biosar focuses on developing and building utility-scale solar projects in North America.
Peterson previously worked for EDF Renewable Energy as vice president of its solar business unit, where she was responsible for originating and developing 156 MW of photovoltaic projects throughout the U.S. Prior to joining EDF, she was vice president of project finance and business development at Suntech America.Â
