Hoku Materials Inc. has issued change orders under its engineering, procurement and construction management services contract with Stone & Webster Inc. and its construction contract with JH Kelly LLC, to increase the scope of work under each contract for the completion of a 3,500 MT polysilicon production plant. The agreements, as previously amended, provided for the engineering, procurement and construction of a 2,500 MT polysilicon plant.
The change orders establish a $390 million target cost of the project, including $145 million for construction services and materials provided by JH Kelly, which is below Hoku's previously disclosed estimate of $400 million.
