Solon Corp. has completed the 5 MW Prairie Fire solar plant in Tucson, Ariz., for Tucson Electric Power (TEP). The fixed-tilt system, designed and constructed by Solon, will be owned and operated by TEP. It spans 28 acres and is composed of more than 17,000 solar panels.
The Prairie Fire array is expected to produce approximately 9,000 MWh annually, according to Solon.
