SolarCity, a full-service solar power systems provider, says it has expanded to Delaware and the eastern shore of Maryland by opening a new, 9,600 square-foot operations center in Seaford, Del.
The company says it previously offered limited service in the area from operations centers in Maryland and New Jersey. According to SolarCity, the new facility is creating jobs, and it expects to fill an additional 12 open positions at the location in the next few months.
SolarCity notes it is expanding to Delaware, in large part, due to the efforts of the state, including its strong support of net-metering policies and a cost-effective renewable portfolio standard.
