Community solar developer Clean Energy Collective (CEC) has selected RGS Energy as its general contractor for the construction of community-owned solar facilities in Massachusetts.
RGS will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for two solar arrays of nearly 1 MW apiece. CEC will own and operate the facilities.
One array will be located in Hadley and serve customers of Western Massachusetts Electric Co. The other will be deployed in Rehoboth for National Grid customers.
Construction has begun on the two sites, with interconnection planned for the end of June.
