California-based Andalay Solar Inc. is offering its integrated DC Instant Connect panel with built-in racking, grounding and wiring. Each module comes with a pre-installed jumper cable, which eliminates the need for a homerun cable.
Andalay says the splice rods provide both structural rigidity and an electrical grounding path, making racking and copper grounding unnecessary. Built-in racking and grooves enable the panels to be attached directly to the roof without a rail system.
