Jan Slaghekke has joined California-based Sungevity Inc. as chief global officer, a new position for the company.
Slaghekke is responsible for managing Sungevity's expansion and strategic relationships in key markets outside the U.S., including its partnership with Netherlands utility E.On to address European solar markets.

Prior to joining Sungevity, Slaghekke held executive positions with BP plc, including management of BP Alternative Energy's wind and thermal power business across Europe and Asia.
