The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has released revisions to its guidelines for photovoltaic installation.
Originally published in 2009, the NRCA guidelines address rooftop-mounted PV installations from a roofing contractor's perspective. Revisions to the guidelines are highlighted in the September issue of NRCA's trade magazine, Professional Roofing.
Topics covered include the following:
- The basics of a PV system, including terminology and descriptions of the main components of a PV system;
- PV-related standards and code compliance requirements; and
- Roofing-specific information and NRCA recommendations applicable to rooftop-mounted PV system installations.
