Solar Power Inc. (SPI) has entered into a design-build agreement with venue owner-operator AEG to design and install photovoltaic solar systems at the Staples Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.
SPI will provide turnkey PV solar system design and installation services for the two facilities. The company will employ its own line of PV solar modules, which feature cells manufactured by Motech Industries Inc.
Installation of the first system (345 kW) is scheduled to begin at the STAPLES Center in early October. The installation at the NOKIA Theatre (167 kW) system is also scheduled to begin in October.
