According to a report from Reuters, Australian engineering services company WorleyParsons Ltd. is pursuing the world's largest solar power plant, planned to be operational within three years.

WorleyParsons noted that it is seeking to deliver 40% of Australia's renewable energy needs via solar power plants by 2020. The company has launched a study, backed by companies such as BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, to locate potential sites for its solar thermal power plants.
