American Capital Energy is planning a 2.36 MW solar project for the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. The installation will use 13,321 rooftop-mounted panels on top of the Atlantic City Convention Center, along with Satcon Technology Corp.'s 500 kW PowerGate inverters.
The project – the largest single roof-mounted solar array in the U.S., the companies say – will be developed through a 20-year power purchase agreement with Pepco Energy Services.
Pepco will build, operate and maintain the solar plant, while American Capital Energy will function as the general contractor for the project.
