GT Solar Inc., a provider of specialized equipment and technology for the solar power industry, has hired Bruce Hazeltine as its director of process development for its silicon group.
In this position, Hazeltine will undertake engineering initiatives aimed at helping customers design efficient and cost-effective trichlorosilane and silane gas manufacturing plants.
Hazeltine is the former chief engineer at Voltaix, a producer of specialty gases for the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries. In this role, Hazeltine was responsible for production capability, maintenance, safety, process development and project engineering.
