Phoenix Solar Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Germany-based Phoenix Solar AG, has won a contract to design and build a 65 MW solar photovoltaic project for Invenergy Solar Development LLC.
Located in Mineral County, Nev., the Luning Solar Energy Project will incorporate 1,500-volt plant architecture with polycrystalline modules mounted on a single-axis tracking system. The plant will be built on public land owned by the federal government and managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
Phoenix Solar Inc. is responsible for plant engineering, procurement of the balance-of-plant materials, and construction, which is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of this year.
