San Rafael, Calif.-based SPG Solar Inc., a designer and installer of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, has completed Phase III of the 827 kW PV system for Western Wine Services in Napa Valley, Calif.
According to SPG, the project represents the largest commercial solar installation of its kind in Napa Valley to date. The system, which was installed over a three-year span, will prevent 1.6 million pounds of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere per year. This is equivalent to removing 163 passenger cars from the road or offsetting 1,747 barrels of oil.
