Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp. (TMEIC) has announced the Solar Ware Samurai Series 1,500 V inverter, the latest addition to its portfolio of utility-scale inverter offerings, and the company has already received its first order for the product.
TMEIC says the new 1,500 V inverter builds upon the Samurai Series’ patented multilevel inverter technology, providing maximized and optimized efficiency, with a wide maximum power point tracking range.
juwi Inc. has placed the first order for the new product. The developer is using 12 units at its 30 MW Bison Solar project on a 225-acre site in Wellington, Colo. Commissioning is planned for the third quarter of this year.
“We are excited about the opportunity to supply our newest Samurai Series PV inverters for juwi’s Bison Solar project in Colorado,” comments Donn Samsa, TMEIC general manager renewable energy. The company notes this builds on previous work with juwi, which used other TMEIC inverters for several solar projects last year.
