ASYS Solar, a supplier for metallization lines, says that due to substantial order volume in the second half of 2008, the company has tripled its annual revenues for the fourth time in a row. ASYS Solar is a business unit of the ASYS Group and develops systems and equipment in the field of back-end solar cell production.
The company's solar business unit emerged from an expansion in the screen printing section. Through December 2008, ASYS installed metallization lines with a capacity of more than 5 GW. In order to accommodate the continued growth, ASYS has hired additional personnel in research and development, production and service. Production floorspace in Dornstadt, Germany, its global headquarters, has been doubled to approximately 200,000 square feet.
