The Intersolar trade show has awarded six prizes to six companies in two categories – photovoltaics and solar thermal technology.
In the photovoltaics category, Aerowest GmbH, based in Dortmund, Germany, received an award for its AeroSolar software, which produces high-resolution aerial pictures. National Semiconductor Corp. received an award for its SolarMagic power optimizer, which minimizes the energy losses of photovoltaic installations caused by environmental factors.

In addition, Berlin-based SOLON SE received an award for its roof-integrated system, SOLON Black 160/05, which completely replaces traditional roof tiles or roof coverings.
In the solar thermal category, Australia-based NEP Solar Pty Ltd. was presented with an award for the parabolic trough system PolyTrough 1200, which uses polymer materials. RESOL – Elektronische Regelungen GmbH won an award for its FlowCon sensor, a control unit for solar systems that takes over complete control of the installation.
Finally, Ritter Energie- und Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co. KG was presented with an award for its Aqua Expresso system solution for space and domestic water heating systems.
