Sputnik Engineering AG says it has developed its SolarMax 330C-SV central inverter, which is scheduled for market deployment in October. The transformerless inverter has a rated capacity of 330 kW and works in a maximum power point range between 450 V and 800 V.
Sputnik Engineering notes that as many as three SolarMax 330C-SVs can be combined in a 1 MW station, which can then be directly fed into a medium-voltage grid. The inverter weighs 1,200 kg and achieves 98% efficiency, the company adds.
