Day4 Energy Inc., a manufacturer of solar electric modules, has executed an agreement to deliver a 2.4 MW roof-mounted turnkey photovoltaic power plant for Gunther Heiss Solar GmbH & Co. KG in Germany.
Day4 Energy will design, engineer and construct the PV power plant with one of its German-based channel partners. Once completed, the plant is expected to include approximately 12,600 48MC Day4 modules.
Heiss Solar, located in Emmingen, Germany, has developed a concept to cultivate special plants that prefer shading to sunlight for optimal growth and that, therefore, require extensive roofs. The energy produced at this solar plant will be sold to the local grid provider under the German FIT Law (EEG).
