S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, based in Freiburg, Germany, says it will complete a 4.6 MW rooftop system at the Dehner Garden Center in Rain am Lech by the end of this year.
In September, S.A.G. was commissioned as the project's main contractor by planning company WALTER konzept, based in Ellwangen, after WALTER konzept was awarded the contract for handling this large-scale project in June. First Solar thin-film modules and Kaco inverters will be used in the project.
‘The system will generate around 4,500 MWh of electricity, which will be enough to supply approximately 1,000 four-person households, while, at the same time, saving 3,000 tons of CO2 per year,’ says Dr. Hansjorg Flassak, managing director of Dehner GmbH & Co. KG. ‘That's why we're supporting this project and have made our rooftops available.’
