SolarCity, a provider of solar financing, design, installation, monitoring and related services, has hired David White as chief financial officer (CFO). White will oversee SolarCity's finance and accounting functions, and brings more than 20 years of executive-level financial management experience to his role.
White joins SolarCity from Hands-On Mobile, where he served in separate stints as CFO and CEO. Before joining Hands-On Mobile, White was vice president of finance for Chiron Corp., a multinational biotechnology company. Prior to that, White held other executive management positions, including vice president of finance for Cable & Wireless and vice president of finance and chief accounting officer for Digital Island.
