Folsom, N.J.-based South Jersey Industries has announced that solar panel projects at two of its local facilities are operational and generating electricity.
The company has installed a 50 kW roof-mounted array consisting of 210 solar modules at its corporate headquarters. The array is expected to generate 60,000 kWh annually. The company also installed a 651 kW ground-mounted array at a South Jersey Gas location in McKee City, N.J. The array consists of 2,772 solar panels covering approximately two acres of open land, and it is designed to generate approximately 886,000 kWh in its first year.
