Seattle-headquartered 3TIER has released a new suite of global solar prospecting tools designed to provide immediate access to seasonal variability data, which the company says is critical to understanding a site's energy potential.
The tools are subscription-based products that provide map-based, point-and-click access to annual and monthly mean global horizontal irradiance, annual and monthly mean direct normal irradiance, and annual and monthly mean diffuse horizontal irradiance.
Coverage of the dataset currently includes North America, India, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Global solar coverage will be added in the coming months, the company adds.
