Armageddon Energy, a developer of modular solar energy systems, has announced a strategic investment and collaboration with Tyco Electronics, a provider of engineered electronic components. The relationship is designed to accelerate the commercial release of Armageddon Energy's SolarClover solar energy system, a modular 1 kW solar energy system that can be installed by non-specialists, including electricians, roofers and general contractors.
By significantly reducing the cost of installing a residential solar system and by lowering the minimum profitable scale of installations, the SolarClover addresses a much larger market for residential solar than other systems, the companies state.
The SolarClover is scheduled for commercial release late this year. The companies have also signed a strategic supply agreement for SolarClover's plug-in electrical connectors.
