Global Marine Ltd., based in Charleston, S.C., has elected Dr. Charles Pownall to its board of directors and has appointed him to the new position of director of research.
Dr. Pownall is a specialist in solar and wind energy, energy storage, computer engineering, spatial mathematics and advanced magnetic field physics. He has more than 30 years' experience in design, development, and research in the fields of alternative energy systems, energy storage, and biomass to energy. His clients have included Bank of Montreal, Credit Suisse, and several American and Canadian federal agencies.
Global Marine Ltd. develops marine-based technologies in energy systems, including solar and wind energy. The company is currently focusing on the North American and Latin American marketplaces.
