SilicoTek (a joint venture between Virasa Technologies Inc. and Calensia BV) and SEDIN have signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement designating SEDIN Engineering Co. Ltd. the overall EPC contractor for SilicoTek's silane and polysilicon project in Suez, Egypt.
A comprehensive selection process was conducted and was concluded in September 2009 with the selection of SEDIN, which has successfully completed the implementation of polysilicon projects in China deploying Virasa technology, the companies note.
SEDIN is a subsidiary of CNCEC of China, a global engineering and construction conglomerate, notes Dr. Wahid Tawfik, CEO of SilicoTek.
