Western Solargenics Inc., a subsidiary of Western Wind Energy, has executed a cooperation agreement with Solon America Corp. whereby the companies will combine their respective capabilities to enable the development of 5 MW to 40 MW of photovoltaic solar energy projects in California and an additional 5 MW to 40 MW in Ontario.
Solon will be the exclusive supplier of photovoltaic equipment and engineering, procurement and construction services. Western will develop, own and operate all of the projects, the companies say.
Solon AG, the German-based parent of Solon America Corp., is a producer of photovoltaic modules specializing in the integration of photovoltaic technology.
