Fat Spaniel Technologies Inc., a provider of monitoring and reporting services for distributed renewable energy systems, says its monitoring system now communicates directly with hardware from OutBack Power Systems Inc. to deliver real-time and historical energy system data about charge status, output, faults and greenhouse gas avoidance.
The integrated offering, the companies say, helps system installers and operators effectively monitor and maintain remote, off-grid solar installations, as well as grid-tie battery backup systems.
"Support for OutBack's energy systems expands Fat Spaniel's battery backup and off-grid services to ensure that our installers and end customers worldwide are able to effectively monitor and maintain even the most remote solar energy systems," says Chris Beekhuis, president and chief technology officer of Fat Spaniel Technologies.
Fat Spaniel's integration with OutBack's power components delivers the full monitoring and reporting capabilities of Fat Spaniel's Insight Manager multi-site management platform, Web-based display of information for end users and installers, support for up to three charge controllers and up to three inverters per system, and flexible communications options.
