Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based SnoBlox-SnoJax has debuted a new clamp product that is designed to facilitate the installation of a wide variety of accessories on standing seam metal roofs without penetrating the metal roof surface. Designed by Action Manufacturing LLC, a manufacturer of clamp-on bar-style snow retention systems, RoofClamp is being marketed exclusively by SnoBlox-Snojax.
The new RoofClamp is available in two styles – RoofClamp RC and RoofClamp RCT. The products can be used to install PV modules and other equipment, according to SnoBlox-Snojax.
The RoofClamp RC works on most snap-lock and seamed-together roofs, while the RoofClamp RCT works on bulb-shaped and T-shaped panels. The clamps are made up of durable 6061-T6 aluminum and incorporate three 1-1/4′ x 3/8′ cupped-nose set screws that clamp onto the standing seam metal roof, the company adds. Because RoofClamps do not pierce the metal roof surface, they do not void panel manufacturers' warranties.
