Boralex Inc. has completed its first solar park, a 4.5 MW PV project in the Midi-Pyrenees region in France.
The Avignonet-Lauragais solar park is located on the same site as a wind farm of the same name that has an installed capacity of 12.5 MW. The two parks establish the first mixed renewable energy site in France, according to Boralex.
The Avignonet-Lauragais solar site covers about 13 hectares and is composed of 20,320 PV modules from Q-Cells, which also managed the engineering and construction of the site.
