Air Products has chosen Blue Sky Solar as its turnkey installer for its 2 MW solar farm at its U.S. headquarters in Allentown, Pa. Newkirk Electric Associates will provide the mechanical and electrical construction.
Blue Sky Solar will install silicon tandem thin-film photovoltaic panels from ENN Solar and Astronergy. Both ENN and Astronergy use Air Products' SunSource Solutions – a portfolio of gases and materials, equipment and services – to manufacture their silicon thin-film panels, Air Products notes.
The 2 MW project is expected to serve the energy needs of more than half of Air Products' administration buildings.
