New York City-based GameChange Solar has increased its tracker manufacturing capacity in the U.S. to over 10 GW and allocated 4 GW for the Texas market alone.
To enable this capacity boost, the company says it has made significant increases primarily in I-beam and tubing manufacturing capacity in Texas and neighboring states.
“Our recent increase in USA manufacturing capacity has been focused to service the burgeoning Texas market,” remarks Derick Botha, chief commercial officer at GameChange Solar. “This broadens our footprint, which has previously been mostly focused on the high-growth Southeast and West Coast tracker markets. GameChange is now optimally focused to service our valued customers for their Texas projects by reducing logistics costs and shipping time frames to this market. We anticipate as much as 2 GW to 4 GW per year of sales in this market once it ramps up.”
