The U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) has issued a request for information (RFI) to gather insights about priority research and development (R&D) needs across the solar industry.
According to SETO, the goal of this RFI is to achieve a better understanding of the problems facing solar stakeholders, including researchers, analysts and manufacturers. The information will help inform the office’s planning efforts.
The RFI covers four topic areas: photovoltaics, systems integration, concentrating solar thermal power and balance-of-systems soft cost reductions.
Responses to the RFI must be submitted electronically no later than 12:00 p.m. EST on Jan. 7. More information can be found here.
