Southwest Windpower, a supplier of distributed wind generators, has acquired SunWind Solutions, a software developer for renewable energy systems.
SunWind Solutions develops Web-based software designed to make renewable energy system configuration simple. This software allows for the easy customization of commercial or residential systems that combine grid, generator, solar and wind power sources.
The acquisition gives Southwest Windpower the capability to model and optimize the integration of different power-generating systems, notes Dixon Thayer, the company's CEO.
