At its new Sunnyvale, Calif., headquarters, Silicon Valley Solar (SV Solar) has initiated its Sol-X concentrating PV pilot production line, which has the capacity to manufacture up to 2 MW of panels annually.
‘The new facility and pilot line give the company the infrastructure to move our technology from the prototype stage to a market-ready product,’ says Steven D. White, SV Solar's president and CEO. ‘This puts the company on track to bring volume manufacturing capability online in 2009.’
