1 MW Commercial Solar Ground Mount Completed In Mexico

Creotecc Solar Mounting Systems has completed a ground-mount installation for a 1 MW commercial solar array in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Solarscape Mexico is developing the project – described as the first phase of a 6 MW project – for a large retail chain. SK Solar is providing engineering and installation services. The array incorporates Solon Blue photovoltaic modules and Advanced Energy REFUsol three-phase string inverters.

Creotecc says the flat land of the site provided good ground for pile driving. Heavy equipment was limited to the pile driving machine and a forklift to unload and distribute the aluminum rail and modules.

‘This project reflects the ramp-up for solar deployment in Mexico and an achievement for Advanced Energy in cementing ourselves in a key emerging market," says Gordon Tredger, president of Advanced Energy Solar Energy.
