A solar photovoltaic array sited on 10 acres at Raleigh, N.C.'s Neuse River Wastewater Treatment Plant was recently energized. Project partners say the installation is the largest utility-scale solar development located on local government property in the state.
Under the terms of the lease agreement, NxGen Power will own and operate the array and sell the output to Progress Energy Carolinas for distribution to its customers. Southern Energy Management designed, engineered and constructed the project.
