3S Industries AG, a provider of string soldering machinery, laminating lines and testers for solar module production, has opened a sales and service company in Tucson, Ariz., establishing subsidiary 3S Industries USA Inc. (which joins other 3S subsidiaries Somont GmbH, 3S Swiss Solar Systems AG and Pasan SA).
The company says American customers involved in crystalline and thin-film module production will benefit with immediate effect from the shorter channels and simplified advisory and service processes.
‘The strongly growing U.S. market for photovoltaics offers enormous potential, so it's important for 3S to establish a strong presence here,’ says Dr. Patrick Hofer-Noser, CEO of 3S.
