3S Swiss Solar Systems Provides Machines For Taiwan Project

0

Switzerland-headquartered 3S Swiss Solar Systems AG says that Taiwanese company Lucky Power Technology Co. Ltd. is currently finishing work on an 8,844-panel solar project on the roof of a sports arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, using machines and equipment know-how from 3S Swiss Solar Systems.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The solar roof, which emulates the form of a flowing river, can – depending on available sunlight – cover up to 75% of the energy needs of the stadium, which can hold 55,000 spectators. The new stadium is the main venue for World Games 2009.

The solar modules for the stadium in Kaohsiung were manufactured on a production line comprising a fully automatic stringer from Somont, a manual layup station and a fully automatic laminating line from 3S Swiss Solar Systems and a fully automatic module tester from Pasan.
