The board of directors of 3Sun – a new joint-venture company founded by Enel Green Power, Sharp and STMicroelectronics – has appointed both its new chairman and its new CEO.
The new chairman of 3Sun is Andrea Cuomo, STMicroelectronics' executive vice president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Cuomo will also retain his position at STMicroelectronics, which he has held since January 2008, and will continue to lead the company's Advanced Systems Technology group and be a member of its Corporate Strategic Committee.
3Sun's new CEO is Mauro Curiale. Since January 2007, he has been in charge of Enel SOLE, a subsidiary of Enel Group. Curiale is also a member of the board of directors of AIDI (Italian Lighting Association).
