Folsom, Calif.-based solar developer 8minutenergy Renewables LLC has appointed Arthur Haubenstock its general counsel and vice president of government and regulatory affairs.
Haubenstock previously served as vice president of regulatory affairs for BrightSource Energy, and his career includes extensive private- and public-sector service in project development, permitting and financing. His work has involved negotiating and obtaining regulatory approval for more than 2 GW of renewable energy power purchase agreements.
Haubenstock has practiced before many federal and state energy, environmental and resource agencies. He has also contributed to the development of major renewable energy regulatory and policy frameworks, including California's Renewables Portfolio Standard and its procurement mechanisms.
