Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has received approval from the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) to begin construction of three energy centers that will provide 110 MW of solar power.
‘Governor Crist and the state legislature set a goal of increasing renewable energy in Florida, and as a clean energy company, we are committed to playing a meaningful role in this endeavor,’ says Armando J. Olivera, president of FPL.
The projects include the DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center (25 MW), the Martin Next Generation Solar Energy Center (75 MW) and the Space Coast Next Generation Solar Energy Center (10 MW).
