A Solar United Neighbors co-op in the Houston area has selected Sunfinity Renewable Energy to install solar for the 33-member group.

The Lake Olympia Solar Co-op is open to homeowners in the subdivision of Lake Olympia in Missouri City, Texas. The co-op members selected Sunfinity through a competitive bidding process over seven other firms.

“It is an honor to be selected because we know the great work Solar United Neighbors has done, and how committed they are to ensure their co-op members have a great experience going solar,” says John Billingsley, chairman and CEO of Sunfinity Renewable Energy. “We are eager to help these Texas homeowners start enjoying the financial and environmental benefits of going solar and providing them quality work and service at a good price.”

Solar United Neighbors expands access to solar by educating Missouri City residents about the benefits of distributed solar energy, helping them organize group solar installations, strengthening local solar policies and building a community of solar supporters.

“Solar United Neighbors made the selection process an easy task,” says Marie Moore, a selection committee member. “I’m looking forward to getting my quote to see how much money I can save on utility bills.”

The solar co-op is free to join. Sunfinity will provide each member with an individualized proposal based on a group rate.
