A123 Energy Solutions says one of its 500 kW Grid Storage Solutions (GSS) installed for Dongfang Electric Machinery Co. Ltd. in China has been commissioned.
The 125 kWh GSS is connected to the micro-grid at Dongfang's Hangzhou facility and will be performing renewable integration for the site, where it is co-located with wind, photovoltaic and conventional generation resources. The GSS is housed in one of the site's buildings.
A123 Energy says the installation is its second in China.
