Aalborg Supplies CSP Equipment For Solar Project In India

Aalborg CSP A/S has provided a steam generator system for the 50 MW Godawari concentrating solar power (CSP) project, under construction in Rajasthan, India.

The system was handed over to Lauren CCL Engineers Pvt. Ltd., the engineering, procurement and construction company that is constructing the plant. Commercial operation of the Godawari project, which is being built as part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, is expected to begin in spring 2013.

To ensure minimum production loss, the Aalborg CSP steam generator design is a 100% welded coil and header-type based on steam boiler technology rather than conventional kettle-type heat exchangers, Aalborg notes.
