The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the Clean Energy Council (CEC) of Australia have entered into a partnership intended to enrich both organizations' missions of advancing clean energy deployment in the U.S. and Australia.

The partnership aims to build a collaborative platform that enables leading industry experts and stakeholders from both Australia and the United States to leverage each other's expertise in creating successful policies, finance mechanisms and market drivers that will benefit both the Australian and U.S. markets.

Driven by supportive government policies and innovation, renewable energy investment continues to grow in Australia, and 2012 was marked by a 40% increase in investment to $6.2 billion, according to ACORE and CEC of Australia. During the past four years, the U.S. renewable energy industry has also experienced success, as renewable energy generating capacity nearly doubled from 43.5 GW in 2009 to 85.7 GW in 2012.
