Adept Technology Inc., a provider of vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, has partnered with CASTEC of Taiwan and Innovation Matrix of Santa Clara, Calif., to develop and integrate a vision-guided solar wafer unloading process for a major solar wafer manufacturer in Taiwan.
The partnership marks Adept's entrance into this high-growth market in the Asia region, the company says. The Adept Quattro robot and AdeptSight vision system will be the building blocks for the wafer unloading automation cell.
