Advanced Energy Industries Inc. has unveiled its stainless-steel PV Powered commercial PV inverter line. According to the company, this inverter line is intended for tropical, marine environments, which often generate sea-salt moisture that can damage sensitive electronics systems.
The stainless-steel inverter has already been selected to power a 787 kW project at the U.S. Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawaii. The project was awarded to Advanced Energy by Maui Solar Energy Systems, the solar integrator that will construct the project.
The PV Powered stainless steel inverter is available in a range of sizes, including 50 kW, 75 kW, 100 kW and 260 kW.
Construction of the PMRF project is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by July.
