Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (AE) says its utility-scale Solaron 500 inverters and PVP250kW commercial inverters have been selected to power six PV projects in Ontario.
The projects were awarded to AE by Moose Power, an Ontario-based solar development company. In all, the installations are expected to produce more than 3 MW of energy.
All six projects are supported by the Ontario Power Authority's (OPA) feed-in-tariff program. Under this program, the OPA purchases the solar electricity produced for a fixed rate over a 20-year term. To complete the projects, Moose Power worked with Advanced Green Technologies and Nautilus Solar Energy LLC.
