AEG Power Solutions, a provider of power electronics, and Electrotherm, an India-based industrial company, have signed an agreement to develop their solar business in India with a minimum goal of 100 MW deployed over a period of 36 months.
The first installations are targeted for the fourth quarter of this year and the beginning of 2011 in the states of Gujrat and Rajastan. AEG will provide its technical expertise in the solar photovoltaic market, as well as engineering services, and will deliver components such as solar inverters, metering, monitoring and controlling equipment, and intelligent combiner boxes.
